<description>we have switched to Chrome here for the following reasons: we don't give 99% of our users local admin authority. Saves a lot on our help desk :) which lead us to the constant nagging of Java and flash needing updating. which lead us to determining 99% of the users don't need java, and chrome automatically updates its flash plugin.

<description>I continue to use Firefox 3.6.26 because at one point I upgraded to a more recent version but that had many problems with various sites, IBM, HMC, and the Admin server just to name a few. I know there is a new version out (10.0 I think) and I wondered if anyone else has used the new version of Firefox and if it's stable?

<description>Don't count on those speeds. I have the middle-of-the-road Comcast home service and I get 15MB down on a good day. On a bad day I'm lucky to get 5MB. It really does depend on the load. Right now, I'm getting good solid high speed about 60% of the time. The rest of the time slopes downward from there all the way to horrible (usually when I need to get something done). Joe

<description>All asynchronous broadband services are variable, I think ... the speeds quoted are the MAXIMUM speed you can get, not necessarily the speed you are guaranteed to get. Cable services do tend to bog down the more users that are on the service in your area. Although (I think) they do tend to ramp back up when the load gets lighter. ADSL service slows down more based on line conditions ... and, IIRC, it doesn't ramp back up if the line conditions get better. For people using ADSL, I usually recommend they cyc...
