We run the BPCS 6.1 client on Windows 64; the install is a bit odd. The vanilla clint (no patches) installs on Win 7 X64; the BPCS Bundle and patches do not. What I do is install the vanilla client; rename the Program files\BPCSCS folder to BPCSCS.ORIG. I have a copy of a patched version of the BPCSCS folder from a XP machine which I copy to the Program Files directory. Once thats in place I run the ACL script from INFOR on the BPCS files to set the permissions for the BPCS files. We are moving to Win 7 as...

We want to apply product key by SYS660C but received "Invalid CPU Key". We are using V4.0.5 CD and want to be worked as version up test on OS6.1. Already installed BMR73619 and BMR73684 from Infor and put in first on library list and then change JOBDATE to the date that your key was created on. We success to apply license key by using WRKLICINF. But still display "Invalid CPU Key" on the SYS660C screen when we try to install product key. Appreciate for helping us.
Hello, We are on BPCS 8.2.01 and generate customer orders via ECM605. There is no way to delete/update customer orders via ECM. ECM621 is there for processing changes, but these changes endup in ECM and not in ECH/ECL/...., You have to process them manually into BPCS, because ECM can't check the status. Based on our own rules (status 10000 and no stock allocations) we would like to apply changes by deleting the orders automaticaly and recreate them via ECM605. Next to the standard order files (ECH/ECL/ECS/E...

In version 405cd we get audit trails from the runs of these programs which show which items they looked at, the old cost, the new cost, the difference (if any). If you too get such audit trails, you might want to spot check them, to see if the runs are even getting at the items you want them to get at. Inclusion of items, for us, depends on selection criteria parameters (facility/cost set etc. ranges) and items found in the rollup. We have orphan items which are not found in the product structure, and thus ...

Dear All, we are running on BPCS 6.11 and want to run the price calculations in batch. Therefore we have created some CL and RPG programs to handle the call of CST500B and CST600B for costset/bucket/item from a file we fill and in the file are date and time of the execution. This is a kind of scheduler for running this during the night. We figured out the parameters to call those two programs but in the end there is no calculation made. The program runs for a while (approx. 10-30 minutes) but the prices rem...

When an invoice is matched to a receipt is there a vanilla method in BPCS 8.3.0 to remove the match? Here's the scenario: Product was received and an invoice was received. The invoice was matched to the receipt. The invoices were then voided and new ones received but the void did not restore the receipt to um-matched status. Question - shouldn't a voided invoice reset the match status? Thanks much. Richard Kass Charles & Associates, Inc.

Isaac There may be a couple of solutions you could possibly use within bpcs/lx depending on your version 1. set the flag on your receipt transaction to allow 3-way match by advice notice. This limits the payable to ONLY those items received against a specific bol/packing list/doc. No wading through hundreds of PO lines on the AP costing screen that may have been received but are not on the invoice. 2. use the vendor self billing functionality. This function creates the invoices based on PO receipts for any ...

Hi DeeDee, I've implemented a CRM system for a couple of clients in Europe that includes a quote management process that's certainly worth looking at. It's a product called MSS and is fully integrated at 6.04,6.1 and LX. Originally commissioned by SSA , its developed and supported by X1-Solutions in Atlanta. The product has a range of modules including Quote Centre, Marketing Centre, e-Commerce and B2B and really delivers a ton of benefits in the Customer Service arena. For more details you can contact Jay ...

<Vendor> Hi Isaac We have recently introduced a new product to our portfolio, which we came across during a recent BPCS project. It is a very useful tool called "AppMapper" (from 2FootPut inc - www.2footputt.com ), which is designed primarily to remove the tedious data entry tasks for BPCS that you have described. It is driven from Excel spreadsheets, and interfaces the data directly though the regular BPCS screens, therefore maintaining all the inbuilt validation and error trapping of your ERP system. - It...

Why don't you use inbound EDI/ECM invoices which posts to A/P logged file where user can un-log (with in ACP500) those invoices and system does all the validations and no data entry is required. You can use transaction set 210 for EDI invoice and set ECM adaptors to do the work. If EDI is not an option, you can map you excel files to a custom file and with a front end loading program you can replicate ECM engine to send the info to A/P logged files for ACP500.
Sometimes delivery from vendors is in the form of an Excel spreadsheet, or a Fax Text format collection of data. When there is massive transcription from standard formats on someone computer, such as a report on a vendor web site, to locations on BPCS, such as ACP500, which can be identified from the data being transcribed, such as from name of vendor thru vendor name to vendor number inquiry, there are scripts to automate the transcription experience, from outfits like Foxtrot from http://www.enablesoft.co...

Check out the screen mapping capability of http://www.nutechsystems.com/System%20i/Nutech%20Components/system%20i%20interfacing.html You could take your excel spreadsheet and pump it through that. Although I question why they are entering the data into a spreadsheet first and not directly into the system. Rob Berendt

Probably best not to bypass ACP500, but instead to create a batch version of ACP500 that can be fed the Excel data. You may be able to use the Infor LX Connector solution to feed the data through ACP500 ? Or if you don't mind doing the development yourself: - You can use TNAPI by Albert York. Or you can clone the ACP500 programs and replace the screen processing with your own, populating the screen fields with the data from your Excel. -----Original Message----- From: bpcs-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bpc...
